Twitter eyeing ex-Walmart.com site

BRISBANE, Calif., Jan. 14 (UPI) — The former Walmart.com property in Brisbane, Calif., is emerging at a contender for a new home base for Twitter, brokerage officials said.
Brokerage sources say Twitter could take over the 200,000-square-foot Walmart.com complex that will be vacant when the retailer transfers its online operations to San Bruno, Calif., later this year, the San Francisco Business Times reported Friday.
Walmart.com occupies one entire building and parts of two other nearby structures. More land also is available nearby if Twitter needs to expand, the sources said.
The brokerage official said nothing has been finalized.
