Old Colonial Bank building adds third tenant
Posted on October 23rd, 2011
The former Colonial Bank headquarters, a 209,000-square-foot building in east Montgomery, is now 42 percent leased.
It has two tenants and a third, the largest to date, will move in this January, John Stanley, president of John Stanley & Associates, said Friday.
Stanley said he could not reveal who the third tenant is. Earlier in the year, the Federal Deposit Insurance Commission and PriMed signed leases at what is now called Capitol Commerce Center.
“We are now working with other potential clients,” Stanley said.
Meanwhile, additional parking is being added. The building has a parking deck with more than 600 spots, but Stanley said a paved parking lot now under construction will add 330 more spaces.
“We are putting it in to accommodate future tenants,” he said.
Colonial built the massive structure near Exit 11 on Interstate 85 in 2006 to serve as its headquarters. Three years later, the bank, with about 773 employees, failed.
